Notes:  BOUVINES was of the same general design as the preceding JEMMAPES class, but differed in having the forecastle deck extend all the way back to the mainmast.  The 3.9" guns were divided equally between the upper deck and the superstructure.  BOUVINES could be identified from her sister AMIRAL TRÉHOUART in having two funnels, whereas TRÉHOUART only had one.  After service as a coast defense ship, BOUVINES saw duty during World War I as a submarine depot ship, and was stricken from the French Navy roster in 1920.
